Just curious, what are you're suggestions/opinions? Where would you take out on your first date?

For those who live in Los Angeles, I was thinking of this place; the Grove in West LA. Nice restaurants, shops and a movie theater. Overall nice atmosphere for a first date in my opinion.

I've been to that place, It's alright, though I haven't been on a date in like.. err.. ever? I always figured it was cheesy, I just call it more of hanging out and bonding.

Guess I don't play by the books or something.

I take my dates to the hospital that I go to when I read books to the sick children orphans. Then I pay the children to all rush around me when I walk in and start crying tears of joy at my arrival.
Then I give them all a group hug and throw my head back laughing Mwa ha haaaaa!

If I'm very serious about someone I like to surprise them with the 'that'll be us someday' tour.
I take them to places like the park where parents are playing with their children, then say 'that'll be us someday!'.
Stuff like that. Last I take them to a graveyard.

I know a few girls that will actually love a place like that (I have weird friends xD, they say it's because I'm like that too lol).

Ok its hit and miss, one i think was probably traumatized for life. The moaning and spasmic stumbling through the corridors whilst clutching her head was quite amusing though.

Fear does wonders, as does properly applied violence...but i wont go into that.

Depending on where you live in the L.A. Area getting to West L.A. can be a major pain in the ass....for example I live in the South Bay Area of Los Angeles (San Pedro, Torrance, Gardena etc.) getting to West L.A. on a Friday night for me is near impossible because I'm forced to take either the 405 or the 110 (I can take Surface streets to get there, but it would still take a good while.)

My advice is go somewhere local to both of you if possible. If you live in different areas of the city, I would say keep it local to where she lives. For me is mostly a comfort zone thing where I don't want to take her to place where she has never been or has no no idea how to get to or where it is (for the first few of dates at least)

So if you live close to the Grove cool. If you live near the South Bay and Beach Cities there are plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs along the Strand (Thinking mostly between Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach). Old Town Pasadena is probably one of the last walk able night life strips left in the L.A. Area.

and now that I think about it what I said in three Paragraphs I could have probably been said in one sentence.

Keep it local, there is always something to be said about familiar and comfortable surroundings.
